Finals...yay!

Campaign Idea:
I created a company called Animal Ocean Outreach. This company is a non-profir orginization that wants to raise awareness and supporters on the effects of radiation on marine life. The idea is to have this program created before the nuclear disaster occurs to have beach locals ready and prepared to help their beach, and mirine life. I choose to design a limited edition line of surf and skate equipment,  as well as clothing, and accessories by Quicksilver and Roxy to get the word out. This is fun campaign that explores my target audiance and things that may affect them and hit them close to the heart and home. I created a series of teasers and a half page ad for surfer’s magazine. Also billboards, stickers, and a spray paint kit with a stencil of the logo.
Target Audience:
Ages 10-30 that live near the beach. This includes locals that surf, skate, an/or swim. Also you could say they care about the enviornment they live in.

I love the final results I got from this project. <3 Sam

  1. good job Sam.
TEASERS; these are very well designed but I feel they are way too dark and the typography is not able to be read. Your photography and highlights are excellent – emphasizing the clothing range and logo. B
    2. ADVERTISEMENT: your photography was well executed but the filters you put the images through was a bit heavy handed. I could not decipher the image due to the blackness and there was no great highlighting like the teasers.
I could read the text on the advertisement and appreciated the text you wrote.
    2. STICKERS / BILLBOARD: These were well translated from big to small and I think your presentation worked well. Putting the images in existing billboards was very effective. I would have liked to see more.
    3. SPRAY PAINT: this idea was in the beginning of the process. Calla’s idea that this could be an advertisement and great non-profit promotional gimmick starts to extend the advertising concept
    4. LOGO: This was the beginning of your idea and it is image brand that really translates well with for your company – the danger sign with dolphins.
    5. CLOTHING ACCESSORY FUND RAISER: great idea, very contemporary and targets your desired audience in an inventive non-profit way.
    6. IDEA / Slogan: your original idea – beach clean up was created because you wanted to take pictures of the marine animals on the pier at Manhattan beach – you obviously like the beach culture. I have to congratulate you on pushing through this idea and transforming your idea into a clothing fund raiser.
